Jonathan Moran
UWM BSAS - 2020
MATC IDAAS - 2023
Interior Designer, Architectural Intern
Intern - Surface Design Company - Current
As a child my mind always wondered how a building or room could evoke different emotions depending on its many layers of design. As I grew older, I began my schooling at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee and majored in Architectural Studies in 2020. After graduating during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic I decided to continue my education at the Milwaukee Area Technical College and am currently working towards obtaining a technical degree in Interior Design. Over the past few years, I have had the opportunity to work on a few projects ranging from commercial and residential that have allowed me to put my knowledge to the test and learn new methods of collaboration, design, and planning.
As a design student my goal is to create spaces that are both eco-friendly and find a way to improve the lives of those who use and interact with them. I believe that when a space is created with the vision of the client and the knowledge of a designer, it can resonate with its users and become an everlasting experience and memory. Through the exploration of material, color, and creativity one can leave an everlasting impression for everyone to enjoy and partake in.
